When Diane’s beloved treasures were carefully packed in boxes and loaded onto a moving truck, she choked back tears as they drove away from her beloved ocean-front home.

“It was difficult to leave the beautiful place that I loved so much and had spent many years living in,” says Diane. “But I wanted to be the one to make the decision and to move on my own terms. Tapestry at Victoria Harbour is the perfect community for me.”

Diane had seen several friends avoid a decision to move even though there were many reasons to do so, simply because it seemed overwhelming or felt too early in their lives to make a change. She then watched as a choice was made for them or ended up quickly selecting a community that didn’t meet their expectations or needs.

Determined not to follow suit, Diane explored a number of seniors’ communities as she no longer wished to cook, wanted to focus on her wellness and desired a simpler model of living. Upon visiting Tapestry at Victoria Harbour, she selected a stunning two-bedroom, two-bathroom suite. “I didn’t consider another community after seeing Tapestry,” she says.

For Diane, a well-known interior designer, Tapestry was the perfect fit from the minute she stepped into the community. She appreciated the warm ambience, comfortable design and picturesque location. Most importantly, the 10^th floor suite she selected boasted expansive vistas with views of the ocean, mountains and treetops – an absolute must for this nature lover. Since moving into the community, Diane says Tapestry is everything she expected and more. “What I love most is the choices you have. I can be as busy as I want to or I can be solitary, which I enjoy.”

Diane has made it a priority to get involved in the community. She attends exercise class regularly, enjoys Pub nights and is excited to be part of Tapestry’s thriving book club. She especially enjoys dining in the community’s restaurant where the extensive choices, chef-prepared meals and stellar service make for a delightfully satisfying experience.

Diane’s three grown children fully supported their mother’s decision to move into Tapestry. They couldn’t be happier that she lives in a community surrounded by good friends and they appreciate the peace of mind that comes with Tapestry’s employees being on site 7/24.
