Ambassadors Highlight Why They Moved to Tapestry… And Why You Should Too!
Over the last year, Tapestry has proudly worked with residents who have shared their stories as company Ambassadors. Featured in video and photography, our Ambassadors provide exceptional insight and perspective to individuals thinking of moving into one of our active aging communities.
Tapestry strongly believes in sharing authentic resident stories. We understand that individuals considering living at Tapestry value our current residents’ perspectives and appreciate their honest description of what life at Tapestry is like.
Watch the VIDEO to review our Ambassador highlights and read more about the exceptional stories that have inspired all of us – and a new generation of Tapestry residents.
Barbara: Barbara had always considered moving into a retirement community, but never really felt ready. After a serious fall, she realized it was time to move into a place where she could remain independent, but also benefit from services to keep her safe, healthy, active and engaged with life. “You have to realize that getting older is going to happen. Things are going to change, and you have to realize that you may need assistance. My family are delighted that I am at Tapestry.”
Ted: Ted resisted moving into a seniors’ community until he realized that daily chores were challenging his ability to pursue activities that brought joy and meaning to his life. “At some point, I was just getting tired,” says Ted, a resident of Tapestry since 2018. “The signs were there, and I realized I had to take the opportunity of moving seriously. I’ve never looked back.”
Maggie and Larry: Maggie and Larry chose to live at Tapestry for so many reasons. One of the key reasons was to give their children peace of mind that they were living in a community where they could enjoy their lives in a vibrant, comfortable and safe environment. “I didn’t want them (our children) to worry about us,” says Maggie. “They know we are living in a community that inspires us to live joyful, healthy and happy lives.”
Teresa: For Teresa, moving into Tapestry has allowed her to continue living independently, visiting with friends and family, continuing to pursue her artistic passions and sharing her creativity with other residents. Tapestry has encouraged Teresa with every brush stroke, even asking her to teach art to residents interested in exploring their own potential. “I never thought I would be happy…but I am…. I’m very happy. I’m happier than I ever thought I would be living at Tapestry.”
Yul: At the age of 60, Yul was inspired by his daughter to begin running. He started with 10 Km runs and eventually increased his stamina to participate in longer distance races, including qualifying and running in the Boston Marathon, which he won (for his age category) in 2016. Today, Yul, who continues to teach and mentor students, and run long-distance races, believes Tapestry provides the wellness environment that is so key to happiness as you age. “As a rational person, you want to enjoy the last part of your life. By keeping your physical health – by walking or running – you can have physical fitness as well as mental alertness.”
As always, we thank our Ambassadors for sharing their stories. We hope they have inspired you to consider how wonderful your life can be at Tapestry as you continue to, “embrace a new age.” For more information, please contact our sales team.
