Tapestry’s Craft Market

Craft Markets at Tapestry have become somewhat of a holiday tradition. Each December at our three communities, residents bake, make, print, paint, sew, knit, label, package and price! These events have become an amazing opportunity to put residents’ talents and passions on display as well as promote the arts and crafts workshops in each community that are an important part of Tapestry’s wellness program.

“That’s a Wrap” Craft Fair

Tapestry at Arbutus Walk hosted the annual “That’s a Wrap” Craft Fair. With great participation from our residents, booths featured everything from fine quality crafts to an amazing array of home baked goods along with delicious baking from our kitchen. Not only did residents create wonderful offerings, they hosted tables, wrapped, priced and helped throughout the lovely event. The Fair was well attended, and spirits were merry and bright with entertainment provided by Roberto Risman. Many residents used the fair to holiday shop and raised well over $1,000 for charity.

 

“Festive Cheer” Market

Tapestry at Wesbrook Village hosted its annual “Festive Cheer” market. Featuring resident and local vendors, this event has become an annual tradition with offerings, including jewelry, knitting, artwork, holiday cards and much more.  The community was buzzing with good tidings and cheer as carollers sang through the halls and Tapestry’s very own Santa made his merry rounds.

Festive Cheer also took place at Tapestry at Village Gate West with the perfect backdrop of a snowy Toronto afternoon! The event had a wonderful turnout and featured festive vendors and a wonderful buffet for residents and guests to enjoy.
