This year, Tapestry was proud to be the presenting sponsor of the “Adshead Over 80 Mixed Triples” Tournament, a spectacular lawn bowling competition hosted by the Canadian Pacific Lawn Bowling and Croquet Club, located directly across from Tapestry at Victoria Harbour.

May 26^th proved to be a terrific day on the greens as 16 teams of three from all over Vancouver Island gathered to compete for the highly sought-after trophy, as well as a variety of prizes donated by our neighbouring Tapestry community for independent adults. Tapestry resident and proud club member Don had the honour of rolling-out the ceremonial first bowl to kick-off the tournament.

“We have an amazing synergy with Canadian Pacific Lawn bowling and Croquet Club,” says Tiffany Whelan, Sales Director. “We both share a passion for active living and creating environments where individuals can be socially-connected. Sponsoring the Adshead tournament was an honour and a privilege.”

As this Spring has brought a mix of unpredictable weather to Victoria, players gladly welcomed a break in the clouds and a spot of sunshine to enjoy bowling followed by a mid-tournament barbecue hosted by Tapestry on its exceptional 5^th floor patio with views of the Club and the spectacular Inner Harbour.

The barbecue was prepared by Executive Chef James West and his culinary team. Residents enjoyed their delicious lunch and refreshments while enjoying musical entertainment. After a stop at the ice cream bar, participants were ready to let the good times keep rolling by completing their exciting afternoon matches.
