Tapestry was proud to once again participate in Vancouver’s PRIDE parade. This year’s PRIDE parade was one of the largest and followed a new route through downtown Vancouver to enhance accessibility and further support participation.

Tapestry was represented by a group of enthusiastic residents from both of its Vancouver communities, along with a vocal group of employees who marched alongside the beautifully-decorated and colourful Arbutus Walk shuttle.

This was the second consecutive year that Tapestry participated in Vancouver’s PRIDE parade. In 2022, Tapestry was the first seniors’ community to march in the parade, laying the groundwork for others to join in on this special celebration.

“We participate in the annual PRIDE parade as a show of support for the 2SLGBTQAI+ communities,” says Tiffany Whelan, Sales Director. “Our participation reflects Tapestry’s commitment to respect and honour each other with the underlying belief that love is timeless and ageless, and that our diversity and uniqueness makes us stronger as a community.”

Organizational effort for this year’s parade was co-led by Tiffany and Keeley Jones, Sales & Move-In Advisor for Tapestry’s Vancouver communities. Keeley also did an amazing job of creating the vibrant blueprint for the decorations that adorned Tapestry’s shuttle, clearly highlighting the incredible talent she brings to help new residents design and plan the layout of their suites when they move into Tapestry.

“It was truly an incredible day of PRIDE and celebration,” says Keeley. “I don’t think the Tapestry team stopped dancing through the entire, sun-soaked route. I was proud to be a part of this unique and special event!”

As Tapestry’s shuttle carefully navigated the large PRIDE parade crowd, onlookers cheered to celebrate our participation, recognizing the powerful reflection of Tapestry’s multi-generational representation supporting PRIDE and all it stands for.
