Tapestry Resident Survey Highlights: Strong satisfaction with Community Life, Quality of Services, Employee Friendliness and Communication
One of the nicest gifts we received in 2020 was the results of our most recent Resident Survey. Almost 75% per cent of residents across all Tapestry communities responded to the survey and provided excellent feedback on all aspects of our community operations.
We were thrilled to see that when we combine results from across our communities, Tapestry scored higher than both Canadian and US industry benchmarks for all 10 measures of resident satisfaction. When compared to 2019, Tapestry scored higher on nine of the 10 measures of resident satisfaction, with notable increases in almost all areas measured.
“We are simply thrilled with the results,” says Mark Andrew, Senior Vice President. “In a year marked by constant change and challenge, our residents said they were more satisfied with community life, the quality of our services and the belief that our communities run smoothly.”
We are particularly proud that almost all residents strongly agreed that Tapestry has done a very good job of managing through the evolving pandemic, communicating in a clear and timely manner and adjusting wellness programs to deal with the challenge of physical distancing.”
“Our wellness team and all of our employees worked so incredibly hard to help keep our residents engaged and socially-connected,” adds Adena Waffle, Vice President. “ The COVID-19 pandemic challenged us to think differently and that’s definitely one of the silver linings we’ve taken from this unprecedented experience.”
In all communities, our residents particularly commented on the friendliness of Tapestry employees. “We believe this is one of the key features that truly differentiates our communities and helps to create the unique Tapestry ‘feeling’,” says Andrew. “We couldn’t be more thankful that our employees’ dedication and service commitment was recognized by our residents.”
Tapestry’s resident survey results reflect a positive ending to a significant, award-winning year for our seniors’ communities. Earlier this year, Tapestry was recognized with three separate Reader’s Choice awards. In Vancouver, Tapestry was selected as the “best of the best” in active lifestyle living by readers of Vancouver Courier/Vancouver is Awesome. In Ontario, Tapestry at Village Gate West was recognized as the “Diamond Award” winner in the Etobicoke Guardian and the “Platinum Award” winner in the Toronto Star.
Tapestry looks forward to continuing to build on its success and welcoming new residents who are seeking to live a wellness-inspired life in a vibrant, thriving and socially-connected community.
