Tapestry’s Move-In Support Services Make Your Move a Positive Experience

At Tapestry, we want all of our residents to have a smooth and stress-free move-in experience, which is why we offer a unique move-in support service. In our Vancouver communities, that service is available courtesy of our Sales & Move-In Advisor, Keeley Jones.
With a background in interior design, Keeley – who serves both Tapestry at Wesbrook Village and Tapestry at Arbutus Walk – can coordinate all aspects of your move, including helping new residents decide what to bring, what to leave behind, and what they may wish to buy for their new space.
“For many of our residents the biggest thing is just knowing someone is by your side through the move,” Keeley says. “Some residents have moved from other provinces or even other parts of the world. With a single point of contact, there is someone to coordinate everything providing confidence and peace of mind!”
One resident who recently benefited from Keeley’s services is Norma, who moved to Wesbrook Village in November 2022. Norma and her daughter had done careful research and toured other communities before finding Tapestry, and Norma is just thrilled with her choice.
“Tapestry has everything I want – freedom, independence – but I also really enjoy interacting with the other residents,” she says. Norma says she takes full advantage of everything Tapestry offers, including art classes, the book club, lectures and bus trips.
Having already downsized when she moved from Ontario to British Columbia to be closer to family, Norma mainly relied on Keeley to recommend good local movers. “They were absolutely fantastic,” Norma says. “Keeley was very helpful and the move was such a positive experience.” Keeley also coordinated several pre-move visits to Wesbrook Village so that Norma and her daughter could confirm measurements.
Keeley’s eye for design and detail can also make a big difference in how your move goes. “Those big pieces you purchased for your five-bedroom home don’t necessarily work for condo living,” she says. That’s why she likes to focus on which pieces will fit best in the new layout and make sure residents can move about easily and comfortably in their new suite.
Another resident who benefited from Keeley’s move-in services is Robert, who moved into Wesbrook Village in September 2022 as part of his retirement transition plan. A still-working professor of finance at the UBC Sauder School of Business, Robert says this was his easiest move ever.
“Keeley made my transition so easy,” Robert says. “She has been my one point of contact at Tapestry for everything, and every time I had a question she was there.”

One of Robert’s challenges was that he planned to donate his older furniture from his two-bedroom house and purchase all new furnishings for his suite at Wesbrook Village. “Before I moved, Keeley sat down with me with her laptop and we ordered the furniture. I would have gone physically to the stores, and that would have taken me forever,” he says. Adds Robert with a chuckle, “I have no taste in furniture – I could not have furnished my new suite without Keeley’s expertise and guidance.”
Even though “downsizing” can sound intimidating, Keeley says, “When you come to live at Tapestry, the whole community is your home. There is so much space to enjoy – the library, the Restaurant, the rooftop, the gym, the bistro, gathering spaces on each floor – all of those spaces outside of your suite in the community are also part of your home.”
Having helped with so many moves, Keeley recognizes it can be an emotional time, but she finds helping new residents make the transition to their new community rewarding. “When you move into Tapestry it’s a whole new chapter and a new lease on life – once they are here, people always tell me they wish they had made the move sooner!” Keeley says.
Tapestry’s unique move-in support services are offered complimentary and include:
Home visits – To learn more about your preferences, take measurements and support you in making choices about furniture and other belongings that will be moved to your new Tapestry suite.
Custom floorplan – We prepare a custom flloorplan for your new suite to show you how best to fit your own furniture and any new items, based on the size and layout. We can also advise on new furniture items and décor based on your preferences.
