Yeah, that’s my grandma!
A wonderfully joyful snow video hit the internet a few weeks ago. It features 101-year old Albina Foisy from Lillooet, BC.
Her joy and excitement at the sight and touch of fresh snow is heart warming. It also a reminder of how gratitude and appreciation brings joy. Snow is beautiful and exciting! This can easily be forgotten in it’s absence.
We heard through the Tapestry grapevine that we had a connection to Albina. She happens to be grandma to one of our Sales Advisors, Denise, who currently counsels seniors and their families about retirement living at Tapestry at Wesbrook Village in Vancouver. We got the inside scoop from her.
“That video really depicts how she is. She’s a joyful, happy woman. You know she had lived on her own until last year. When she turned 100, she moved in with my uncle Armand.”
Armand and Albina’s video has been viewed nearly 8 million times. They have been getting communication from people all around the world. Many are messages of thanks and appreciation for the video. There are now people contacting them to talk and share their stories.
Armand has uploaded a few more videos to his YouTube account featuring Albina. A dialogue about slowing down and appreciating comes at a time we need it most as the holiday season can get hectic and stressful.
Check out the video below which features Albina watching news coverage on her video. It is seriously awesome and is guaranteed to make you smile.
