When Shera reflects upon her last 10 years at Tapestry, she smiles warmly. “My time at the community has been filled with so many joyful memories,” says one of Wesbrook Village’s original residents. “I have enjoyed being a part of Tapestry and living in a safe, caring, welcoming and active place to call home.”

On September 30^th, Shera and all other Tapestry at Wesbrook Village residents and employees celebrated 10 years of creating memorable moments in our community.

Residents enjoyed an exquisite three-course meal prepared by our Executive Chef and his culinary team. They also had the opportunity to pose for photos at our special photo booth and take home signed polaroids to remember the enchanted evening.

Employees at Wesbrook Village also joined the celebration. Those employees marking 10-year anniversaries were treated to a special lunch recognizing their dedicated service and contribution to our community.

Romella, who has been a Resident Attendant since Wesbrook Village opened its doors, looks back fondly at the last decade. In her role, Romella supports the health and wellness of our residents, helping them to remain independent and live a full and active life.

“It’s been a pleasure working at Tapestry for 10 years,” says Romella. “I have many beautiful and happy moments with residents and employees. I’m very grateful and proud to be part of this community and I look forward to more exciting years to come!”

As “tin” is the anniversary item marking 10 years, Wesbrook Village asked for donations of non-perishable food to mark the occasion. All donations were donated to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank on behalf of the entire community.

When it opened, Tapestry at Wesbrook Village was one of the few buildings in the burgeoning community at the University of British Columbia. Today, it is an integral part of a vibrant, bustling community set in one of the most beautiful locations in Canada.
