Steps away from where Tapestry residents Maggie and Larry first met, fellow residents, visitors and guests gathered as a community to celebrate our newest Ambassadors who connected over a shared passion for music as students at the University of British Columbia (UBC) over 60 years ago. As Tapestry Ambassadors, Maggie and Larry generously share their life’s journey and stories to help portray an authentic view of life at Tapestry.

The special event started with lovely hors d’oeuvres and refreshments before everyone viewed Maggie and Larry’s inspirational video. It was standing room only as the theatre filled with excited guests anxious to view the latest Tapestry Ambassador video. Residents were excited to see the community’s familiar faces on the big screen and learn more about the couple who are so involved with the community.

After watching the video,  everyone enjoyed a musical performance by Masters of Music students from UBC. Their operatic tones and harmonies filled our community, as Maggie and Larry were inundated with memories of performing onstage both as students, and for Maggie, as a professional singer travelling the world.

Tapestry is thrilled to share Maggie and Larry’s story. Together since their 20s, Maggie and Larry have a wealth of wisdom and love for each other that is inspirational to all.
